Impacts of Change
There are three main areas that will be impacted by a change programme, namely processes, people and technology.
The main source of your change programme could be a new product, new service or new computer system but there will be impacts on these three key aspects.
The first practical step is to complete a Change Impact Assessment to highlight the following;
- processes – document As-Is and To-Be detailed business processes
- people – identify the impacts of the change programme on all stakeholders
- technology – what technology is changing and what is the impact on processes and people
This is a significant, detailed, piece of work that highlights the specific impacts of your change programme and feeds into Stakeholder and Communications planning.
